Comments: This unit is called a tumble grinder. It is powered by a 3608 450hp CAT Diesel engine. Material is dumped onto a conveyor which feeds into the tumbler. The tumble tub is inclined at 30 degrees. The tub wall has a screened area that separates out dirt, sand and material that is already within the product size range prior to grinding. This feature diverts a potion of the feed material and limits the amount of material passing through the hammermill to material that actually needs to be ground. The design actually keeps material and debris inside the tumble tub , ensuring better control of feed material. There are 2 outfeed conveyors: one for fines and small debris and the other for the ground material. This unit has only 579 hours and is ready to go to work.
