Comments: The Scat Windrow Turner is a leader in the compost industry. In contrast to methods which tend to compress or compact material, Scat's unique elevating face gently turns the material in high windrows with optimal aeration and mixing. It is capable of doing 3000 cu.yds./hour (2250 cu. m/hour) of material at a windrow height of 5.5 ft (1.68m) and width of 18 ft. (5.5m) 2 passes. This particular machine has just 500 hours, and is powered by a Ford Diesel engine. It has new sprockets, but the flights need replacing prior to use. The unit is designed to be towed behind a tractor, and has a side discharge conveyor. This Scat is a great, inexpensive way to get started in the compost business.
